Abstract

Secondary education demands strong academic resilience to navigate complex learning pressures. This study aims to identify and analyze the effectiveness of various guidance and counseling strategies in enhancing academic resilience through a systematic literature review. Using the PRISMA 2020 protocol, 11 experimental articles from 2020-2025 were analyzed. Results indicate that cognitive-behavioral and postmodern approaches significantly (p < 0.05) increase academic resilience with a large effect size. Group-based services are the most dominant intervention (81.8%) due to their ability to integrate peer support as a protective factor. These findings conclude that optimizing group counseling services is a crucial instrument for fostering students’ academic resilience in schools to support educational success. This review provides essential evidence for school counselors to implement effective, peer-supported interventions.
