Skateboard Sebagai Ruang Ekspresi Anak Muda: Tren Sosial Baru Di Bumi Silampari

Lubuklinggau sebagai kota yang berkembang di wilayah barat Sumatera Selatan menunjukkan dinamika sosial dan budaya yang semakin beragam, salah satunya melalui munculnya komunitas skateboard sebagai bentuk ekspresi dan gaya hidup generasi muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami makna sosial aktivitas skateboard dalam budaya kota, keterkaitannya dengan pelaku UMKM lokal, serta peran pemerintah daerah dalam mendukung ruang publik yang inklusif. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan 18 informan, terdiri dari 15 anggota komunitas skateboard aktif, 2 pelaku UMKM di sekitar Taman Olahraga Silampari dan Taman Kurma, serta 1 perwakilan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skateboard tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai aktivitas olahraga, tetapi juga sebagai sarana ekspresi identitas anak muda, penguat solidaritas sosial komunitas, serta penggerak aktivitas ekonomi kreatif melalui interaksi dengan UMKM lokal. Dukungan pemerintah melalui penyediaan ruang publik turut memperkuat perkembangan kegiatan ini. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa skateboard memiliki dampak sosial, budaya, dan ekonomi yang positif bagi perkembangan kota, sehingga berpotensi menjadi bagian dari strategi pembangunan kota kreatif berbasis partisipasi pemuda dan pemanfaatan ruang publik secara inklusif.
